my fun weekend

I just wanted to post a bit about my FUN birthday weekend. On Wed. about 2:00 Clark came home and had the kids each hand me an envelope. Sarah's had some money, Ryan's had an airplane ticket to Salt Lake, and Jared's had tickets to conference. What a surprise! I left the next morning at 5:30 am and came back late sunday night. thanks to everyone who helped arrange and take care of everything. My sister spoiled me for a few days, we shopped in park city, watched some movies, had a birthday dinner at training table (yum) and went to the sunday afternoon session of conference. what a fun weekend. Thanks for the fun getaway clark!

Catch-up and school

It seems like summer went by and we didn't do too much, but then I looked at the camara and realized I just hadn't printed out any pictures yet. So is a random hodge podge of summer pictures.

I decided to start with the newest:

Meet our new kindergartner: Sarah started on Wed. she is doing great and loves it. We do all day kindergarten here so she is worn out in the evening. She was so excited on the first day:

Look what we can do!
Both kids learned to ride their bikes within a few days of each other. Sarah got mad that Ryan could do it first and she picked it up really quickly.

Here is a rare picture of the whole family.

Everyone was in town for a few days

Clark went on a hike to the glacier in the Big Horn Mountains: He went when in was 98 degrees in Gillette and nice and cool in the mountains:

Here is our little guy at the park. He is 15 months old now and has started climbing on everything!

Fishing!

The kids just got back from fishing with grandma: here is their catch

Ryan pulled his big one (about 15 inches) on his first cast.
Sarah pulled her big one out (about 17 inches) a little later on.
My mom says these are the biggest fish she has seen out of the huck finn pond.
Of course my kids won't hold the fish on their fingers.. too slimy :)

backpacking with dad

Here are a few pictures of the kids. Clark took them backpacking a couple of weeks ago. They did great. In the picture above they are throwing rocks into the river (clark said they did that for like an hour). In the picture below the kids are sporting their backpacks, and the river that they ended up crossing with the help of a tree that Clark put across for them to walk along. They hiked about a mile in and had a blast.
